Who are we ?
REFERENCES is a non-profit organization, of national scope, open to any woman and young girl wishing to contribute to the construction of a Burkina Faso of peace and social cohesion and more specifically to the well-being of women and children affected by insecurity, community and socio-political crises.
The network was born from the desire of women committed to peace and eager to pool their intelligence, talents and resources in order to act together on the basis of a common foundation of convictions, principles and values.
Our Vision and Our Goals
Our vision: “A reconciled, peaceful Burkina Faso that guarantees the complete well-being of all its sons/daughters, while preserving the interests of future generations.”​​
Our objectives: Promote living together in peace and social equity in Burkina Faso and more specifically:

Strengthening the resilience of women and children affected by security and community violence through an integrated approach to addressing basic social needs, psychological trauma and economic recovery;

Mobilize women's mediating power in the process of social cohesion and peace in communities and at the national level

Strengthening civic-mindedness and the culture of non-violence among young people.
Promotion of social cohesion and peace through the enhancement of endogenous mechanisms, culture and sport.
Support for the emergence of women peace mediator leaders in the community
Awareness raising and training of young people on ethics, civic-mindedness, non-violent communication and peace
Psychological recovery and empowerment of women, assistance with socio-economic integration
Management of severe psychological trauma in women and children through the mobilization of specialists
